The Queen granted an interview on May the 8th to Lieut.- Colonel Marter, 1st Kings Dragoon Guards who presented to her Majesty some relics of the 24th Regiment, from the battlefiled of Isandula

When I accompanied the late King Zwelithini to Windsor Castle in 2019, some of items that Marter presented to Queen Victoria were put on display for the late King’s perusal. He was particularly impressed with mimosa thorns that had been mounted for presentation.

Don’t ask me what happened the following day though…
