| Hi all. Decided to post the cover of this journal as Photographs of LT. Vause & LT. Raw are indeed rare . The caption inside the book is as follows .......... '' The recently discovered photograph of Lt. Vause ( L ) and Lt. Raw ( R ) . Lt. Raw was the officer who first met the attacking Zulu force at Isandlwana . He died aged 32 and is buried at Pietermaritzburg.

| Hello 90th
I read somewhere that this photography of RAW (and VAUSE) was not authenticated by his descendants.
You can also find this photography in Adrian GREAVES's book "Isandlwana" (2001).
regards

| The photograph appears to show Lt. Vause, but the other has been stated as not being Lt. Raw. Have a look at the photographs in Zulu Victory by Peter Quantrill and Ron Lock, there is a caption under one indicating Lt. Raw, the only image of him in existence apparently. |
