How was it different style of tents in the camp at Isandhlwana ?

Hi Pascal,
To my knowledge the most used tent in the AZW was the "bell" tent. This tent, as implied by it's name was round, standing at the single central pole some 2,5m high. Verical side walls were about .6m. This tent slept some 8 - 10 men. Normally white canvas was used.
I wil look for pictures of these tomorrow , which I will send to you, and from them you will be able to gauge more accuratley sizes and proportions.
For larger gathering the marquee tent was used. These had many different sizes.

Yes, but I read everything as usual and there are no two that have the same opinion, what misery ...

We must talk of this before I make crap ...
This is what a forum Should Be Used, i ..

Anyway this forum is really great, it is the huge encyclopedia of the Zulu war ...

Nobody did agree on the size of tents and especially on the number of men in it, it would have a good start to know if they were all the same size ...

I became interested in Isandhlwana and a wargame of this battle without the tents would be ugly ...

Good for tents is starting to become good, question is whether those of this kind there were all the same size and how many soldiers they could hold, because there are differences on the forum about this, after all I've read today ...

And to think also rectangular tent ...

There is not to say the color photos of reenactors can help, thank you again ...
