Col Durnford and John Dunn

I have been looking to see if there is anything written, concerning the relationship between Col Durnford and John Dunn, assuming they knew each other. They both understood the ways of the Zulu more than most. Is there any
documentation that puts these two together, or where they spoke of each other? Maybe the Colenso's linked them in some way.

I have no luck myself, so any help would be appricated.

Found this in “Cetewayo and the three Generals” by John Dunn (page 48)

“The second meeting took place at the Umlambongwenya Kraal, at which the King was staying for a time. This assembly took place in the middle of the cattle kraal, and was attended only by Mr. - Shepstone and one of his sons, and the late Colonel Durnford, and also by three or four of Mr. Shepstone's Native Indunas, on the one side, and of Cetywayo, myself, and a few of his men on the other. Nothing of importance transpired, and after a talk which lasted some time, I opened a couple of bottles of champagne and claret— a favourite blended drink of mine—and mixed them in a tin can, when several of us refreshed ourselves, Cetywayo included.”

Is there anything that give Dunn's thoughts on Durnfords actions at Isandlwana.
