This is a composit of 5 seperate photos, shows the battlefield in all its glory from Durnfords Donga ( group of buildings on the left ) to the Nyoni ridge on the right.

I agree 100 % , I think it's a wonderful picture , well worth framing . What are the chances of you getting a few printed up and possibly selling them ? .

very nice sir. thanks for posting. from that distance the mountain does resemble the sphinx.

Nice Photo, have you any close-ups of the hill itself. I would like to see the cave where a soldier fought till the last, I cant imagine the fear going through his mind as he fired his last.

It is debatable who was the last man standing.:
uMhoti was eating sugar and watching Chelmsfords men returning ( should give an idea of the time) in the distance when he was started by a shot from the slopes of Mahlabamkhosi. "A soldier had been lying there ans seeing a zulu approach, fired at and killed him, and then made a run for it;but was soon overtaken and speared."

Possibly this was the last man?

There is no real consensus as to which is the right cave. This one is above the final Younghusband position.
