| Hi all,
Its probably worth starting a forum on "Stolen Medals" as a reference check before buying any medals that may be falsely advertised. This will then ensure that we can assist those to recover these precious items that have been stolen.
Please add to this list as you become aware of stolen South African Medals 1877-1879
Stolen from the Anglo Zulu War Historical Society in Kent Advice listed in Dixon's Gazette - Summer 2014 Ref: Kent Police Crime Number ZY/19178/12
1 : Pte. T. Parry 1/24th Foot 25B/572 Survivor of Isandlwana and possibly a Rorke's Drift Defender 2 : Pte. S. Parry 2/24th Foot 25B/1399 Rorke's Drift Defender |

| Hi z.oz I do seem to recall these being listed on here once before , I think we did mention a stolen medals reference page but I dont think it got underway , I think its a good idea having a page in the index for such items . From memory those medals were stolen from the house of Adrian Greaves , the chap certainly knew what he was looking for ! Cheers 90th |

| British South Africa Medal, with 1879 clasp. Correctly named to 29/2052 Pte E Frith, of the 58th Regt of foot. Was purchased and sent via USPS - Failed to arrive at its destination in Australia. Considered Stolen at this stage and under investigation by USPS as to its location.
Please keep an eye out for anyone attempting to sell this medal. If found please contact (z.oz@rocketmail.com) |

| Hi 90th,
Yes.....It's mine and was on its way down under. Now it cannot be located by USPS. I am still presently reliant on the seller as the medal, which is still showing (tracked) as being in the their dispatch area.
USPS is still trying to locate it, however, 6 weeks have now gone by without a trace I'm afraid.
I can only suggest that it has been stolen at this stage by some low-life over in USPS facility?
Hopefully it has not been melted down and will show up somewhere ?
Cheers z.oz

Cheers z.oz Would insurance not apply, namely if your saying its showing as being ready to dispatch then surly that proves USPS are at fault! |
