PostSubject: "Steady Lad"   "Steady Lad" EmptyWed Jul 08, 2015 6:20 pm

Hi All,
Here is my latest finished project titled "Steady Lad" it is 90mm scale and cast in 14 grey resin parts. Soon to be available from 1879miniatures.co.uk
It depicts a young drummer boy pointing towards the Zulu masses with a terrified look on his face as they come over the hill at Isandlwana. The old sweat blocks off the lad with his Martini Henry and reassuringly puts his hand on his shoulder, just before saying in a Colour Sergeant Bourne type voice "Steady Lad". Very Happy

Hope you like my latest project. Please note the soldier does also have a haversack and bayonet, but I have not fitted these yet.
cheers
Richie

Hi John,
At the minute I don't even have time to do my own box art and for the web. But, I suppose a rough guide painted by me for the 2 figure set, mounted on a wooden plinth with name plate and posted would be between £250-£300. That's fairly cheap compared to some who would charge that per figure. Food for thought.
cheers
Richie
