| In the last couple of weeks I've brought a few W. Britain sets as the prices were very low for all of them instead of the silly prices people normally try to sell them for. I will post a few pictures tomorrow but the sets I have brought are the Rorke's Drift diorama with the add on hospital, Durford's last stand and a few other bits and bobs. | I did have the hospital and several figures but they have long gone. I have several hundred 28mm figures and the RD boxed set. Also a few boxes of 1/72 and a couple of hundred plastic Conte 1/32... Also, a few dozen Hinchcliffe figures and a few other bits and bobs, most of which need painting and/or assembling.
I agree with the 'silly prices'. That's why I don't tend to go for them. Nice purchases though.
Neil

| I would buy and collect some of the models, but I'm useless and painting.. buying pre-painted are far to expensive. |

| Thanks for the replies chaps, yes your right when you say they are expensive. I keep my eye open for a bargain and once in a while, like these did they come along at an affordable price. There are sets still for sale at three times the prices I paid for these which is mad, are people really that stupid that they would pay such prices? Maybe or else why would the sellers keep putting them up for that sort of money. I have a few plastic 'call to arms' figures that I make the odd diorama out of when I'm in the mood but that's not very often as my attention span is not the best (my teacher was right all those years ago). 90th, thanks for sharing, always nice to know there are others who have collected. |
