Pip the Rorke's Drift terrier Empty
PostSubject: Pip the Rorke's Drift terrier   Pip the Rorke's Drift terrier EmptySat Aug 29, 2015 4:39 pm

Hi All,
I have not been about much and this is some of the reason why. I commissioned this from my friend Dimitry who is an outstanding talent when it comes to sculpting. It is a caricature representing Pip the Rorke's Drift terrier and is titled.....

"and snappeth the spear in sunder" well dogs like sticks.

I know he was a civilian dog, but I thought he had earned the right to wear the tunic. My friend is due to emigrate to Australia next month with his family and he knows how much I love the Zulu wars. The second offering is his parting gift for me and I was completely taken a back. The reason it is a chimp, because I am a Hartlepool lad and we are known as Monkey Hangers from the legend of hanging the monkey at the time of the Napoleonic wars.

I hope you like these, I love them.
cheers
Richie
