AZW medals - have they reached their ceiling?

Good to be back on the site after a medically induced absence .

In the meantime it would appear that the frenzy and escalating prices of AZW medals seems to have found their level. There are a number of medals on dealers lists at around £895 , almost a 30% increase in a year.

As the collectors know there was a period when the dealers had been cleaned out of stock. Hopefully this price stability remains or even reduces in the wake of Brexit.

I suppose the real test will be the upcoming DNW auction which has several AZW medals including an Isandlwana casualty and an Ingogo river casualty. The pick however in my mind is to a Frontier Light Horse officer MID for bravery before Ulundi - link below
