I've had an email from the Assistant Regimental Secretary of the Royal Welsh to advise that the grave of William Allen VC (Monmouth Cemetery) has undergone a renovation and is due to be rededicated at 1130 on Wed 4th July for anyone interested in attending.

Local dignitaries and descendants have been invited.

Its such a shame that Glynn Edwards is no longer with us, having died recently.
That would have been something if he could have gone to the re dedication ceremony of the man he played in the film.
