Bromhead’s Grandfather with General Wolfe ?

In the film Zulu. Michael Cain (Bromhead) says to Stanley Baker (Chard). That his Grand farther was the Johnny that knelled besides Wolfe at Quebec (Its this true)

Was Bromhead’s Grandfather with General Wolfe ?

i think his father was at Waterloo ( and lost an eye ) , dont think it was his grandfather at Quebec but it might have been uncle or gt uncle .

Lady Bromhead, who died 17 March, 2005, was the widow of Sir Benjamin Denis Gonville Bromhead, 5th Baronet, OBE.

She was Nancy Mary, daughter of Thomas Seon Lough, of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and married in 1938.

Her husband entered the Indian Army in 1919 and served in Iraq and on the North West Frontier, and was Political Agent in North Waziristan.

The Bromheads have a long tradition of military service. Her husband's great-great-grandfather was at Quebec with Wolfe, his great-grandfather lost an eye at Waterloo. A great-uncle won the Victoria Cross at Rorke's Drift.

Lady Bromhead, of Thurlby Hall, Lincoln, was widowed, 18 March, 1981. She leaves a son, John, the 6th Baronet (b. 21 Dec, 1943), and two daughters, Diana and Anne.

The funeral takes place at Thurlby Church, 24 March, 2005.
