Lord Chelmsford invaded Zululand without the knowledge of the British Government in the hope that he could Capture Cetshwayo, the Zulu King, before London discovered that hostilities had begun.

Hi Dave , i too no longer post on the RDVC .

as far as agreeing with Harman - well i didnt always agree with what he was saying , but what i certainly DIDNT agree with was his treatment there.

For me a discussion forum is just that - a place to discuss, to put forward your ideas , and yes - to disagree sometimes .
