Just out of interest. Who lived the longest out of the VC holders who fought at Rorkes Drift? I thought it was Bourne. But he didn't get the VC.

hi Gary,
I dont know his exact age, but lets say he was 23 (average age for British soldier during the zulu war) during the zulu war plus 74 years until his death, that would have put him around 97 years old or around that. think of all the stories he would be able to tell you!

thanks joe
