hi all .
Would need to win the lottery for this one , 7,500 seems a good deal , my guess it will be more.
If I remember rightly I think Neil Apinshaw said he had an Isandlwana casualty medal or Mons 14 .
I know somebody on the forum has one . Unfortunately not me Mad .

Hi garywilson1

This is what is listed with his medal

24th Foot The South Wales Borderers South Africa Zulu Isandhlwana Casualty Medal.. A rare example, awarded to 1267 Pte J. Wilson 1/24th Foot . Bearing the clasp 1877-8-9 . Near VGC. Private John Wilson joined the 1st Bn of the 24th Foot on the 12th June 1866 at the age of 17. He saw service in Malta and Gibraltar, before embarking for South Africa during December 1874. It was here that the Regiment was garrisoned until the the start of the Zulu War. He had reengaged at Cape Town during October 1876 and the last Regimental Muster Roll available for him is dated September 1878 showing him serving at King William s Town in the Cape. He is confirmed as being Killed in Action on the 22nd January 1879 at the action at Isandhlwana.
