Hi Dave. I sure some of the actual defenders are portrayed in the painting. I wonder if there a link anywhere to the master copy which names who's who and where they are standing. Now that would be some find.

hi all.
I am pressed for time at the moment , but I am positive Lady Butler's painting has some original members in it . I am sure
there is a table beneath the picture in a book . Just not sure which book , will try and look wed if no-one else can find it.

hi all.
This from " Companion To The Anglo Zulu War " by I. Knight .
" In researching her picture Butler was able to call upon a number of men from the 1 / 24th , and invalids of the 2 / 24th,
who had recently returned to England. She also drew Chard and Bromhead from life ".
cheers 90th.
