| hi littlehand.
Havent we seen this one before ? , if not , one very simliar. It does appear to be the Bell Tents as used in the zulu war and after.
Dont know why but I think 1st Boer war back behind the lines .

Yes , that was the photo , bit similar .
hi littlehand.
I am not an expert on uniforms , but I think both photos have men still dressed in the red serge jacket , they still wore
the red jacket in the 1st Boer war of 1880-81.

| Tunics are seven button home service, Glengarry later pattern.
I'd even go Volunteer reg, date C1895. |

| After a search around the best match I can come up with going off the collar & cuff facings is 'The Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry (ox and bucks)' [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Another possibility would be the 90th Light Infantry ... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]There again it could be none of the above  Pity there is no badge to go off. |
