Lord Chelmsford invaded Zululand without the knowledge of the British Government in the hope that he could Capture Cetshwayo, the Zulu King, before London discovered that hostilities had begun.

Information sought on the Prince Imperial. There is a bronze statue of a British officer in 1879 kit. He is mounted and the saddlecloth is marked with an N surmounted by a crown. It was signed by the French artist Loisseau- who spent time in Africa. From Chistlehurst to Woolwich to Beaux Arts to Natal Nothing. It is possibly a model for a larger work. Any comment appreciated.
