Zero tolerance to harassment and bullying. |

We are all here to communicate and enjoy the various discussions and information on the Anglo Zulu War of 1879. Opinions will vary, you will agree and disagree with one another, we will have debates, and so it goes.

Previously served in the Monmouth Militia . Description ; age apparantly 22 yrs , height 5 ' 6 1/2 '' , fresh complexion , grey eyes , light brown hair . Religion , Church of Eng . Attested at Monmouth 23 / 5 /77 . Posted to 2 / 24th at Brecon 26 / 5 /77 . Private 23 /5 /77 , confined 3 /8 /77 - 7 / 6 / 80. Confined 8 /8/ 80 charged with being drunk on duty . Tried by Regimental Court Martial 24 /7 /80 . Sentenced to 42 days imprisonment with Hard Labour . Service continued in South Wales Borderers ( SWB / 2817 ) 1 / 7 / 81 . Granted Good Conduct pay at 1 penny per diem 31 / 5 /83 . Gained 4th class certificate of education . Service extended to 12 yrs at Rangoon 27 / 7 / 82 . Forfeited 1 penny per diem Good Conduct Pay 5 / 1 /88 . Good Conduct Pay at 2 pence per diem restored 13 / 1 / 89 .
