ZULU WAR 1879 Discussion & Reference Forum ( A Small Victorian War in 1879)

Lord Chelmsford invaded Zululand without the knowledge of the British Government in the hope that he could Capture Cetshwayo, the Zulu King, before London discovered that hostilities had begun.

Hi Impi.
I have the book but read it a couple of years ago and thought it interesting . Basically covers what Heaton experiences
during the war , his Diary starts 1 ST Jan 79 - 31st Dec 79 . Continues on with his years after the zulu war . Has maps ,
Photos , Diagrams and a chronology of the war . Certainly worth reading , I also like to read diaries of those who were
there , puts a differant perspective on matters .

6.99 plus postage on e-bay - still 4 days left to bid, was considering it but without a review I am always a little careful to buy these days..
