Any member blatantly corresponding in a deliberate and provoking manner will be removed from the forum as quickly as possible after the event.

We are all here to communicate and enjoy the various discussions and information on the Anglo Zulu War of 1879. Opinions will vary, you will agree and disagree with one another, we will have debates, and so it goes.
There is no excuse for harassment or bullying of anyone by another person on this site.
The above applies to the main frame areas of the forum.

| Hi Littlehand Yes he did take part in the Zulu War of 1879 Chaplain 4th Class Thomas ForanHe was a Roman Catholic Chaplain to the forces. Date of Birth - 22nd December 1843. The date of his first commission and 4th Class Chaplain (ranking with Captain) was 24th October 1874. South African War - 1879 -Zulu Campaign - Medal |

| Hi All, Revd Thomas Foran was born Devonport 1843 to Thomas Foran Royal Artillery. By 1851 the Family Foran was living in St Peter's Port, Guernsey, his father a Army Pensioner. In 1861 age 17 Thomas is a Cabinet Maker. Soon after he joined Holy Orders in the Roman Catholic Church and the Army, as by 1879 he was serving in Zulu War, in 1881 he is R/C Priest at Fareham, 1891 at Colchester. By 1911 he was living at 31 The Esplanade Sandgate near Folkestone, where he died on 6th Dec 1923, being buried on the 10th Dec 1923 at St Martin's Church Cheriton, near Folkestone, Kent.
