Zero tolerance to harassment and bullying. |
Due to recent events on this forum, we have now imposed a zero tolerance to harassment and bullying. All reports will be treated seriously, and will lead to a permanent ban of both membership and IP address.
Any member blatantly corresponding in a deliberate and provoking manner will be removed from the forum as quickly as possible after the event.

We are all here to communicate and enjoy the various discussions and information on the Anglo Zulu War of 1879. Opinions will vary, you will agree and disagree with one another, we will have debates, and so it goes.

| Hi Littlehand . Army Service Corps - Ordnance Store , one of many Assistant Commissaries . Entitled to Medal with No Clasp . So I dont see how he would have seen much action as stated on his file !. This from the Forsyth Medal Roll . cheers 90th. |

| He was stationed at Durban from the date of his arrival at the end of June until the conclusion of hostilities. Subsequently proceeded to the Transvaal.
Date of Birth - 19th July 1853 Deputy Assistant Commissary-General of Ordnance (ranking with Captain), Natal - 31st January 1880 His previous Departmental service was of 7 years 232 days. South African War - 1879-80-81 - Zulu Campaign. Medal Transvaal Campaign. Defence of Pretoria. Mentioned in Despatches.
His grave is situated in Westmoors Cemetery, Dorset.
