good evening

I ask this queston to all , just for fun ...

If the January 22, 1879 you were a Zulu warrior of the age you have the January 22, 2012 ...

What regiment Zulu warrior would you have been the January 22, 1879 ?

For me, who will be 49 January the January 17, 2012 (exactly 133 years to the day of departure of the Zulu Royal Grand Army of Ulundi for Isandhlwana and the Inyezane River !) I would have been in the regiment uDlambedlu, regiment formed in 1829 and renovated in 1843, also called umDlenevu and izinGwegwe and who fought on the Inyezane River the January 22, 1879 ...

Cheers

Pascal

Hello young steady shot

Well you would have brought the musket of a guerrrier of your your family ,
if the udiby were allowed to bear the arms of the warriors...

If you go to school with your Martini-Henry, no problems and you do that you have good grades,in school , right?

As for me ,yesterday, I was wrong in my calculation, I believe:

1879 less than 49 years (if I was 49 years the January 22, 1879 instead of the January 22, 2012) if I was a Zulu, I will be born in 1830 ...

1 - If the age of incorporation of a young Zulu is 18 ,19 or 20 years, I was incorporated in 1848 ,1849 or 1850 in the umKhuze or uNongamulana regiments, formed from 1846 to 1851 and incorporated themselves in the regiment iNdabakawombe ...

2 - Or in the regiment umZwangwenya formed from 1846 to 1851 and incorporated itself in the regiment uDlambedlu as I said yesterday ...

3 - Or in the regiment umSikaba formed from 1846 to 1851 ...

All ces regiments étaient appelés collectivement amaphela 'Cockroaches ' - Red shields...

Cheers

Pascal
