Hi Chard1879.
I had to search hard to find him on the roll as his name should read WILLIAM not WILLIAMS !. The following details are from
' For God , Queen and Colony ' by Terry Sole ...........
William George ; Killed in action at Inhlobane on 28 /3 /79 , Born England . Shot through the head during ascent of Inhlobane .
Possibly buried together with Lt . Baron Otto Von Stietencron by Capt Barton and a party of the FLH . Formerly a Capt with the
Wet York Militia . Enlisted 1 / 1 / 79. Listed as Trpr by Regiment .
cheers 90th.
