Yes he does, I wonder? There is a photo I'm told of three RE officers standing together one being Chard VC and one apparently might be Hayes but cant find pic. Many thanks once again for all the help and time taken over this. Nigel

Do you have any biographical details on Haynes?

I have another photograph identified as ‘Haynes R. E.’ However, it looks nothing like the one Andy posted, so it might well be the Haynes killed by the Matabele in 1896.
