| Here is one for the big wallet boys. Hope you're watching 90th, SergioD. Mrs Tasker224 is not convinced - she has her mind set on a new kitchen  http://www.stanleygibbons.com/stanleygibbons/view/product/sgproductcatalog/210844/210876/210893/SG746026 "John Key attested at Secunderbad, India, on 28 August 1871, and was posted to the 2nd Battalion, 24th Foot. Appointed a Drummer in 1873, he reverted to Private in September 1877 and was appointed a Lance-Corporal in May 1878. He was promoted Corporal in July 1878 and appointed Lance-Sergeant on 19 February 1879. He thus served as a Corporal in “B” Company at the epic defence of the mission station at Rorke’s Drift on 22nd/23rd January 1879. He was promoted to Sergeant in March 1880 and placed on the unattached list at Secunderbad on 1 March 1884."

| Ha ha Tasker - I am honoured , I out bid you on one little auction and now I am in the same league as 90th!!
I have looked at this a couple of times - I just find the idea of £8k profit in a year to be excessive , I also think it is a shame to see the medal bought for a business rather than in the hands of a collector who would cherish it.
I have just finished MrsD's new kitchen - not sure she would see the quid pro quo though!! |

| Hi Tasker . I've noticed that in the last 3 mths or so any Isandlwana Casualty Medal I've come across have been priced at 8,000 - 8,500 GBP'S. Where as before that time 7,000 seemed to be the going price !. May be time to off load one mate and build that kitchen for Mrs Tasker !!. . SergioD. . I'm honoured you think I'm worthy of being in a league .  Cheers 90th. |
