| Good question Pascal. The Brits were in the Zulus' country so it would have been pointless holding prisoners for any length of time. I remember seeing pictures of Zulu warriors sitting on the ground after Ulundi, but I don't know how long they would have been detained for. Cetshwayo, Mehlokazulu and other induna were of course detained and interrogated but how much interest LC and the Brits would have had in ordinary Zulu warriors/farmers would have probably been very little. |

| After the end of each carnage of the hunting of the defeated zulus impis after each British victory ,there were inevitably Zulu warriors captured...
No prisoners in battle by the british army ???
Cheers

| I find it odd that in some books, it is said, for example:
it has been done such a quantity of zulu prisoners in this war.
This is what is usually found for other conflicts, even against the Indians of North America ... |

| I guess there were loads of prisoners taken, dont think we will ever know what happen to them. I suspect most of the prisoners were wounded in one way or another. |

To Ulundi, we need to know what were the Zulu regiments of the reserve ...
The most interesting part of this battle is when the 6,000 men of this reserve falls on the square of Chelmsford... |

Yes, but this guy was captured by women, otherwise he would have been killed ... Pascal, I could introduce you to some women.......... I wouldn't want to be captured by women of any race, creed or nationality, whose husbands I had just killed... |
