Hi John, The one posted is a recent release from Beneito Miniatures in Spain, Jose Hidalgo sculpted this and painted this version for the box art, he has also done a few other Zulu war pieces and there will be more in the pipeline no doubt. I have an order in for this one and I had a look in the box at the Northern Model show last week and it's a nice set. It is also available in this country from SK Miniatures (Steve Kirtley) as a set or individual figures. cheers Richie

SAS1,
The Prince's right eyeball was pierced with a spear as is shown in the death-mask on the right of the two images. For a better photograph of it see the rear jacket of With his Face to the Foe by Ian Knight. The wound going downwards from eyelid to eyelid.

Chard1879,
It was in the Aldershot Museum of the Hampshire Museum Service sometime ago.
Whether it is still there on display I can't say I'm afraid.

Same as admin, great image filled with symbolism! the old french guard with his eagle..and Britannia wrings her hands as she buries her head in shame, as for the mighty english lion, well he is simply overcome with it all.
Thank's JY, i have visited the page, was unable to access the image, does that mean i have to ' sign up ', and once accessed is the image so large that feasibly it could be made up poster size..
