HI Gary

It is not placed in the same way, so the answers will be different and this allows you to refresh memories, again, thanks to the book of Julian, one can argue...

Pascal, today might not be a bad day to book your flux capacitor in for a full service.

Tactical instructions given by LC to Pulleine in the book of Julian, page 7 and after ...

Have they been properly followed?

For example, the artillery should fire that from 600 yards (page 15) ???

Cheers

Hi Rascal .
Yes , I have read in a few books that the Artillery wasnt to open fire until the zulu were within 800 or 600 metres , cant remember which distance it was . Chelmesford was worried that the zulu would withdraw and not attack if they were shelled from a longer distance .

Hi Gary

The shrapnel of the 7 pdrs guns (and small guns like this one ,6 pdrs ect...) can not beings used beyond 800 yards, 600 yards is also a bit short ... For me it is very serious ...

This means that the Royal Artillery is really without interest in January 1879 ...

And for the explosive shells, they were not used in Zululand , because the Royal Artillery reserved the explosive shells fire for the shooting on agglomerations ...

Cheers
