Harry Henry Mathews born 1856 Ilminster Somerset 1/13th. 1891 census [Henry] b.1856 Ilminster, married to Mary Jane she born 1855 Taunton in Mount St Barracks Taunton. 1921 census with Mary Taunton, Harry M dies June Qtr 1944 Taunton District. Charles James Garland born Sherford Taunton findagrave gives 26 Feb 1861 Wilton Taunton Deane, Baptised 3 May 1861 Wilton, attested 8 July 1878 age 18 2/13th No.1500, 15brig/30th No.2158 to Cape 2 Dec 1878, discharged 9 July 1890 12yrs 1881 census Soldier on leave at fathers Greenway Lane Taunton he is the eldest of ten children. Nov 1885 he married Emmalena Fudge in St James Taunton. 1891 census Clarence Road Taunton Railway Labourer GWR, M to Emmalena 3 Children, 1901, 1911 census Raleigh Terrace Taunton, M to Emmeline and Emmalena 7 then 6 children, he is a Railway Fireman then Telegraph Wireman, By 1921 he is a widow. He dies June 1942 and is buried in St James Cem Taunton Plot 3/DA/219 he appears on the findagrave website. Frederick Thomas Methringham Collinson attested 13 April 1872 age 19 born St Mary's Reading 28 June 1851, 36B/1987 to 1/13 no.1971, to SA 3 Dec 1874, Cape Town 7 jan 1875, KWTown 9 feb 1875, Ft Napier 10 jan 1876, Durban 21 oct 1876, Newcastle 21 march 1877, Pretoria 21 May 1877, Middleburg 23 april 1878, Sekukuni Campaign 13 Sept 1878, to Devonport 18 sept 1879 discharged 15 nov 1893 21 yrs, served Zulu and egypt 82 LSGC medal, M.Hannah Berry 26 Dec 1887 or 89 St Mary Magdalane Taunton. 1911 census 6 Grays Road, M to May 8 kids all born Taunton, he is a Out of Work Waiter, 1939 register, add 6 Gray's Rd, Rtd School Caretaker, M to May, 1 child, He died on 5 Dec 1945 at 6 Grays Rd, Taunton, aged 94 Rtd school Caretaker. He was buried in St Mary's Cem Taunton, he appears on the findagrave website, under his son S t Collinson, Frederick's gravestone is the central stone in the plot. William Garland born 1855/57 Farnham Surrey, M Hannah Cox 26 Dec 1881, St Mary Magdalane Taunton, he is a Porter, 1891 census Westgate St Taunton, M to Hannah 1 child he is a Porter to Ironmonger, 1901 census 20 Westgate St, M to Hannah, now Furniture Porter, Hannah dies 1918, the 1939 register Incapacitated Widow, 29 Ivy Green Hse, Upper High St, Taunton. He dies 9 Nov 1941 and was buried in St George's Churchyard Wilton, aged 88, he appears on the findagrave website. William Frederick Bull born 9 feb 1856, 1939 register he is a widow at 5 Worthfield Avenue Taunton Rtd Licensee, His Probate add 6 Plais St Taunton to Melina Oliver a daughter. He died 7 Apr 1954 aged 98 and was buried at St Mary's Cem Taunton. He also appears on the findagrave website. Rai Keynshamlighthorse. |
