Does anyone know any information of this Groom Frederick Karl Otto married Emily Warren born in Bennington Hertfordshire England 1857.They married 10th September 1883 Touws River Simonstown Worcester South Africa in the Engineers Office on board the HMS BOADICEA .Frederick Karl Otto who was born 1853 place unknown but on his Death Certificate states as being European.He was also know as Charles Otto.I have been told that to be married and on board the HMS BOADICEA you would of had to be of Royal Navy Personnel that the HMS BOADICEA was not a public passenger vessel.Can anyone help me track down where Frederick Karl Otto came from and was he indeed in the Royal Navy?

HI tjotto.
I checked the South African War Medal 77-78-79 ; The Medal Roll by D.R. Forsyth Medal Roll twice , no Otto is listed on the Roll for H.M.S.Boadicea .
