"Surgeon-Major HENRY JAGOE, M.B., has also been placed on retired pay, with a like step of honorary rank. His commissions are dated: Assistant-Surgeon, October 1st, 1867; Surgeon, March. 1st, 1873 ; and Surgeon-IMajor, October 1st, 1879. He also served in the Afghan war in 1878, and received the medal.
He was further engaged in the Zulu war in 1879, and obtained the medal with clasp for his services therein".
