Hi all

If Cetewayo accepted the ultimatum of Frere, there would have been no war in 1879,ok , but then what would become of the Zululand, a dust of satellite states, as from 1883 to 1888?

Cheers

Pascal

We can only guess, But he would have conformed to the requirements of ultimatum, so if you read the requirements, it should give a rough idea of what would have taken place.

Yes a dust of satellite states, as from 1883 to 1888 !Well, if it was this, the intention of the British, so the Zulus were right to defend itself, because it is better to die standing than live on your knees Salute

In fact, if the destruction of Zululand was innéluctable, it was better for the Zulus, whether by the British, as the Boers (the people of the Bible Very Happy LOL Very Happy ) when you see how they and their successors have treated the poor black thereafter ...

This is because I am passionate about and that there were pros and cons, in the motivations of war on all sides ...

Well then like, the history of South Africa would have been completely different without the invasion of Zululand ?

The Zulu war has served primarily to the Boers and their successors, right ?

Cheers
