Bonjour Mister Young, Thanks for this photo, i have never seen before. You have the "copright" of many photos on the Azw. Why don't YOU publish a book of your collection of photos on the Azw? I have asked the same question to Isundula. Cheers. Frédéric |

| Frédéric,
In answer to at least one of your questions - without letting too much out of the bag - my co-author is David Truesdale.
If you do a search on his previous and current work you might be able to guess the subject matter.
Regards,
John

| sorry JY,meant to say as a published author, you will at some point engage market reaction during your early collaborations. can you tell me at least the format, which end of the market will it be aimed..as you know i favour the high end. this will be for many an eagerly awaited event.
So to do your efforts full justice, would you please consider the high end,ie. Whitlock-Lloyd or the payne book on Harford, to allow the photographs to be seen in the the best possible light.
I would suggest a price of £100-£150.00, for that we would receive a ltd 1st ed of a sumptuous addition to any serious collector. xhosa |

Frédéric Bonsoir Mister Young, After many hours of research, i think i have found the link between YOU and mister Truesdale: " On thé slopes of Malvern hill, John Young saved Truesdale life's". Source: Camden high school classe of 65 Mister Truesdale and YOU are two mates of thé same regiment!!! But, i have a little doubt... Mister Young are YOU an old man? Sorry for this question... thé battle of Malvern hill is a battle of thé Civil War (1862) I have founf an another link. David Truesdale, thé author of books on Irish men in thé army is also a member of thé Rorke's drift forum. Cheers Frédéric |

| Les,
Almost right about the theme of the work, but not just the officers, and not just the events of 1879.
The format will be decided by the publishers, Helion & Company, but I can't see it being high-end at all.
I certainly don't favour the high-end of the market. I only got a copy of A Soldier-Artist in Zululand by contributing to the biographical notes!
Frédéric,
Is your surname Maigret?
Well done!

| k, JY,got it, Helion, just looked at their ' coming shortly's ' and their back cat, and yeah i doubt many publisher would authorize ' a vanity book ' on the scale i would wish..
Lastly iv'e been picking up a few books recently that bears a library bookplate inscribed ' shemershill press ' would these be from the late Huw Jones's library. look forward to having your work,
Well done fredric. very fast that man. cheers xhosa |
