? At RD Dabulamanzi expected to find mineral wealth. ?

He knew there was a garrison in place?

He mocked the ban on his brother to enter Natal ?

I know his brother criticized Dabulamanzi for this incursion!

I know aussi That It was not up to the end of March 1879 a new military commandemnt That was given to Dabulamanzi ...

This affair has dishonored the uThulwana because when other Zulus learned their defeat, they mocked the uThulwana ...

pascal, basically Dab was just trying it on..
he had no authorization from the king as
all were forbidden to cross into Natal, but
he did, after the failed attacks, he could be
expected to be executed for his appalling
disobedience , but the king needed all his
commanders for the retribution for...
Isandhlwana! which he knew was bound to
follow,,he forgave him, the people mocked
and laughed at him for digging pieces out
of jimu's place, who had done them no harm.

I was always under the impression, that this element hadn't washed their spears at Isandlwana as they were part of the reserved. They pursued the fugitives along with eleiments of the right horn. Perhaps they thought RD was an easy target. which it would have been if they hadn't been warned! And again perhaps the Zulus hadn't realised that those that had warned RD had slipped away earlier that anticipated.

And another question to considered. Although the Zulus had been warned against attacking a fortified British position, they really wasn't aware that RD had been fortified until they attacked. Question

Thank you Lester and LH

Everything you say LH is true, they might just want to kill at the beginning and as only a part of the inDluyengwe could find fugitives ...

But Dabulamanzi has seen the British defenses, so why take such a risk ? No British has asked him after the war?

Dabulamanzi motivations are weird ...Not for you ?

Or the battle is initiated before his arrival with young inDluyengwe and Dabulamanzi was forced to continue to honor ...

On RD in general.

After the war no British are asked why he attacked the RD? After the first attack of the inDluyengwe he did not let the battle develop for his pleasure...

Why It would have been impossible to stop ?

In my idea, the young inDluyengwe arriving to RD has put their C-in-C ,Dabulamanzi ,in the s... !

They behaved like a uKhandempemvu to Isandhwana and Ulundi and the iNgobhamakhosi to Kambula ...

It seems there were three Zulu regiments unmanageable and that the Zulu C-in-C in each battle had no authority over some regiments ...

Yes it is this, it was in. at least three regiments unmanageable and Zulu Zulu That the C-in-C in Each battle Had No authority over Some regiments ...

Zulu chiefs should have to account to these folks!

"Extract from Interview with Mehlokazulu Kasihayo (The Battle Of Isandlwana)

Q: Who went to Rorke's Drift ?

A: The men who were fighting at Rorke's Drift did not take part in Isandlwana. They were the men of the uNdi body, which formed part of the right horn. When the camp at Isandlwana was taken, these men were
fresh and they followed the fugitives that were running towards Rorke's Drift in Natal. There was a long line running towards what we supposed was Jim's house. The other reserve regiments thought about intercepting them by crossing the Buffalo River at the point where the Bashee joins it, on the road to Inswarele Kraal. This reserve complained that they had not had an opportunity to participate in the battle a Isandlwana and they consequently went to Rorke's Drift to fight there. These were men with rings. I only followed the fugitives for a while: I didn't reach the Buffalo River. Those of us who had fought at Isandlwana were tired as the English and many more of the English forces would have escaped if the reserve regiments had not risen up.

Q: Did many men died at Rake's house ?

A: oh, approximately 300.

Q: How many at Isandlwana ?

A: It's not known how many; it could be a thousand.

Q: Where there more dead at Khambula ?

A: Yes. we were completely annihilated. We began at midday and fought until sunrise.

Q: Is Dabulamanzi a good general ?

A: No, he's to impulsive. He commanded the column with the most losse at Ginsindhlova. We know that the Zulu from the coast are not good fighters. We didn't cpmplain about their bad fighting."

When I hear that there was 3000 Zulu killed to Isandwana this make me a good laugh, only the Zulu have a vague idea of their losses.
