Thank you for the welcome.

I am researching one of my forebears, Henry Germain Mainwaring.

I am still reading the many interesting posts on the forum that mention him.

My interest is family history. Henry Germain Mainwaring (1852-1922) born in India to a major in the army married in 1889 to Henrietta Georgina Wigan. They had one daughter. She did not marry. As far as I know there are no direct descendants. H G Mainwaring was a brigadier general in WW 1.

Anne

Bonsoir Anne,

From memory there are (at least) two photos of him on this forum.
Have you got some photos of him or letters, diaries on the zulu war?
Regards

Frédéric
