He commanded the No 7 Company, A. S. C., employed on the lines of communication.
The South African Campaign of 1879 by McKinnon & Shadbolt

Date of Birth - 7th August 1853.
Deputy Assistant Commissary General - 31st January 1881 stationed at Egypt.
His previous service with the Department was 7 years 232 days.
South African War - 1879 - Zulu Campaign. Medal with Clasp.
