I couldnt find him in Mack & Shadbolt ! You need to study mo . The only Talbot in there was  Capt The Hon R.A.J. 1st Life Guards .
Unless , he was either not an officer in 1879 , or , was in a Colonial Unit , and then again he possibly didnt take part in the AZW ? .

He was a Private in the Army Hospital Corps in 1879.
