Lt. Melvill: Well done, Sir! Did you see that Noggs? Deceived him with the up and took him with the down. Norris-Newman: Well well, this one's a grandfather at least. If he'd been a Zulu in his prime I'd have given odds against your lancer, Mr. Melvill.

Just picked up a signed cdv of Lt H.M.L.Rundle , he was with Bvt Lt Col J.F Owen , No 10 Battery 7th Bgde Gatling Gun at Ulundi . The Battery also took part covering the retreat of Buller's near fatal reconnaissance near Ulundi on the 3rd July . According to Wood their Gatling gun came into action a little in front of the square at Ulundi on the 4th July , with help from the infantry they checked the daring attempt of the enemy to come to close quarters . Very happy , I'm thinking it would've gone fairly quickly .
