| Here is the auction mentioned in Wentworth's post https://www.dnw.co.uk/auctions/catalogue/lot.php?auction_id=448&lot_id=5636&search=1 And here is a better picture of Minehan than the one on DNW. Wonder what he would make of the price. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Steve |

| Forgot to mention that after the Hammer Tax it morphs into 87 K !! , plus other sundry expenses the price climbs a bit more , but once you've spent 87 K another 100 or so GBP's is nothing ! . 90th ( Gulpppppp ) |

| Totally crazy price, a very nice medal for sure but even half the price would be high. Its not like RD defender medals are rare, scarce yes, desirable yes but their are potentially another 100 plus medals.
Saying this, I guess as long as the buyer is happy thats all that counts |

| 90th - 80K this close to Christmas!! Must be a single or soon to be divorced guy!!. The auction was strange - some high prices were achieved , but usual pre xmas bargains were to be had in the more run of the mill medals.
I suppose cost is relative. To Justin's point if he his happy and can afford it good luck to him. If he bores of the medal he can always send it my way!!! |

| Hi Sergio Yes it was a strange auction , I thought the KDG's medal was a reasonable price , considering what prices have been realised in the last 18 - 24 mths ! . Lollllll 80K , hopefully he still has plenty left in the tank ! . 90th |

| I can only hope Jager !!. I am having to buy some serious Xmas presents for Mrs D after that auction- picked up a very interesting group - which I am sure you can guess.
Gary - we can only dream of those figures. These guys are certainly helping raise the value of our collections - am in danger of selling some of my collection at these prices if Mrs D finds out!!
