| Hi Les. William Jones (born in Evesham, Worcestershire, England), is buried in Philip's Park Cemetery, Manchester, England. When I worked on the railway we used to go past Philip's Park (there were some large signal boxes there and many sidings), and oddly enough, my driver one day was called William (Bill) Jones, and yes, he also enjoyed a guinness, odd eh! Cheers mate. |

| Hiya Martin, i used to live on Hulme Hall Lane for 14yrs and i could see the trains going over the bridge, i used to stand at my front door and watch them pass, the length of some of the ' s..t trains ' was amazing it seemed like they were pass- ing for 10 min's or more. Dean Lane is now a single track Metro tram stop!. an amazing service..
Yeah mate ' Bill Jones ', aint that funny peculiar. i see 593 about four times a year just to say hello as i'm passing, cheers. Les |
