| Graves1879 & 90th thought you might be interested in thiis as G.DALE might have been involved in the Zulu War.
This is two silver Victorian Campaign medals, both of which are missing their holding bezels. One has been mounted as a brooch but the pin hook on the back is missing. It is detachable from the mount and is uninscribed. The other has its original, rather tatty ribband and is inscribed around its edge G DALE 324, 24th REGT OF FOOT, who, I believe, were also involved in the Zulu wars and Rorkes Drift etc.

| Hi littlehand Many thanks for the info, I mailed the seller asking what was on the rim. He replied what was on the rim was in the listing. From the photograph, I can see 3.24. As you said littlehand, the 24th as the 24th were not in the Boer War but the SWB may have been, but the medal would not say 3.24 but SWB? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I would say it is a fake because Dale was in the 1st Battalion and then transfered to the 38th Regiment. The seller has not been helpful either, which would suggest something is wrong with this medal. |

| HI 1879graves. Something is certainly " not quite right " with this listing , i certainly would be steering well away. Will be very interesting to watch the proceedings, i must see if he posted your question on the auction site, as you can do that or elect not to. cheers 90th.
ps. As expected , no sign of your question on the auction site. |

| The seller did answer my first question by stating he had listed what was on the rim was in his listing, but when I have questioned him about the facts!!!! he has and will not reply. As John has stated, many fakes out there. |
