| imperial1,
I had a quick look at the South Africa Medal Roll, 1877-8-9 for Bakers Horse and could find no one named “Tamer.” Do you have any further information on him? Any additional information on him might provide a lead to his identity.

| Hello again, That is a photo of the medal in question. Is that the proper period engraving? and are there other photos of a Bakers Horse or Bakers light horse medal you know about in order to compare. Regards Imperial1

| Hello, the medal definitely says TP r W. Tamer Bakers Horse. , with a vague number of 16? in front , the engraving style matches other frontier horse medals online. The list provided says TPr W. Turner but it is written out. Pau la thinks the list actually says TPr W. Tamer any thoughts? I think it may be the same person with some sort of admin misprint of the name. I have seen it happen in the service. Thanks for the help Regards |

| It wouldnt be the first time mistakes have been made on the listings. Recently there have been at least three non listed participants from iSandlwana identified and last year a Rorkes Drift defenders name was corrected and the man identified correctly. |

Again Thanks |
