Thanks for that, I wasn’t expecting to find him in the United States!
Looks quite different to the white-haired 1929 Mercury photograph of him.
I’m awaiting a photograph that I picked up on the off chance of a Boer War soldier surrounded by kit marked up as belonging to ‘H. Davies’. I’ll compare the three together when it arrives.
