The 91st regt were the advanced guard of the Eshowe relief column , they were situated in the rear face of the laagar at Gingindlovhu.. having one man killed , and 8 others wounded . Two companies were detached and stayed at , or near , Gingindlovhu , the rest of the Regt pressed on to Eshowe , the 91st was involved in escort duty from after the relief of Eshowe till June 15th , it was then consigned to Crealock's Coastal Column heading to Port Durnford..reaching there on June 28th , they saw no further action in the war after Gingindlovhu. 90th
