| Hello all,
I've been in touch with a member of the Tarboton family in KZN and he has very kindly sent me images of brothers Edwin & William Tarboton who both served at Isandlwana with the Natal Carbineers; Edwin was killed in action while William escaped.
I will ask Pete (Admin) to post on my behalf (and with Mr Tarboton's permission).
A photo of William's grave at Byrne, South Africa can be found at the following link:

Regards,
Tim

| Hi Kate I'm not sure where Byrne is .... if it's not to far away we can surely get there , make a note of it as I'm still away and will certainly forget . 90th |

| Kate,
Don’t trust Smoko, I asked to look at a grave whilst he has been languishing in Queensland, I even gave him transport options, did he? Did he heck as like!

| Kate I thought I'd seen the Tarboton Grave , and if it's in the Richmond cemetery I have , it's the same cemetery where Barker is buried I went there with the Major . Will need to check my pics to make sure . JY Yes.... unfortunately your transportation options are still on strike ! . 90th |

| Hi Gary
Your all mix up mate Barker is buried in his fathers Church in Umzinto, and Tarboton is buried in Byrne which is a small village some distance maybe a 30 minute drive from Richmond you need to get back home and go through your photos mate they are hours apart by car. |
