George Henry Goldsmith attested 28 May 1874 age 19, Born.1855 Epsom Surrey, to Royal Engineers No.12135, to Cape 29 Feb 1879 to 29 Jan 80, Married Mary Ann Burridge 1 Oct 1881, Zulu,Egypt 82 Wars, LSGC Medals. Discharged 31 Jan 1899 24 yrs. Probate Address Railway Cottage Burlescombe. he Actually died 4 June 1944 in the Ayshford Arms Burlescombe [Death Cert] lovely way to go one last pint or two. The Pub is still there but is closed at the moment. Burlescombe is about 3 1/2 miles East of Tierton Devon.
