Sorry to disappoint the family but as No2 Squadron IMI he was no where near RD.
Shows they were sending commemorative leaves home during the AZW though.

Thomas Norman (b. 1858) married Mary Wood (b. 1856) at Long Eaton on 1 Dec 1883. It looks as if died in 1886.

Thomas Norman 2/24 was born 1859 according to his service papers, attested at Brecon 5 March 1877 No 1314 born Radford Notts also address given for his father next of kin. To S/Africa 1 feb 1878 to Gibralter 12 feb 1880 to India 11 Aug 1880. to UK 29 may 1883. Discharged at Brecon on 28 Feb 1889 12 yrs service.
He did marry Mary Wood at Long Eaton 1 Dec 1883, Marriage Cert in papers.
Thomas Norman dies in 1899 Shardlow District Notts, this includes Long Eaton.
