| I work voluntarily at Ford Park Cemetery Plymouth and have been maintaining the graves of the veterans who served during the Anglo Zulu war. I have found and cleaned 13 so far. These can be viewed on the Find a Grave website. However I was give the names of 1.Signalman James J. Mitchell of HMS Tenedos died 28 Sept 1930 and 2. PO Second Class Thomas P Kensole of HMS Tamar died 21 May 1925. Enquiries at the cemetery office have not revealed a burial location here. I received the names and dates of the 2 individuals from a third party who told me he got the information originally from The Keynsham Light Horse. Can anyone confirm that the Ford Park Cemetery information is correct or were they buried elsewhere and reinterred there after WW2 which decimated large areas and Church's in Plymouth. As was the case with Francis Attwood DCM and George Edwin Patey. Thank you. |

| Hi Samnoco Just in the process of Researching the Family History for all the Royal Navy in the Zulu War, well on the way just HMS Shah to do. James J Mitchell b.1856 D.28 Sept 1930, Buried Ford Park Cem 1 Oct 1930 appears on the Findagrave website. I also have Edward Mitchell b.plymouth 23 Nov 1853 probably dying september quarter 1908 age 55 in East Stonehouse District Plymouth he is also RN HMS Tenedos. Thomas P Kensole RN also appears on the Findagrave website for Ford Park Cemetery. Are you saying you have checked with the cemetery and it appears they have no records of burial?? One thought is it possible they were reinterred from Milehouse Cemetery?? Will check my records and get back on the subject. Rai Keynshamlighthorse.

| Hello again. My error it should be Kenshole. The addition to the Find a Grave website was my doing as it was my intention to add information as I got it. The Mitchell addition was done by a Barb Walker and she hasn't replied to my enquiries as to how she obtained the information. Regards Bob H. |
