Rorke's Drift

Hi all, thanks for letting me join the forum.

My interest in the film Zulu was when my mum took me to the cinema in Penn near Wolverhampton to watch the film. I was only 8 in 1964,

, the film scared me stiff. Anyway, we now live near St Davids in Pembrokeshire and a few years ago I remember seeing a post in a group on Facebook that one of the soldiers that served at Rourke's Drift was buried near St Davids. Does anyone know if this is correct.

Welcome to the forum! It’s fascinating how so many of us were first drawn into an interest in the Zulu War through the film Zulu. What an incredible memory you have of seeing it in the cinema as a child – I can imagine how intense it must have been at that age!

I The only burials I am aware of in that vicinity are as follows:

Pte David Lewis 25B/963 B Company - alias James Owen - Bethel Chapel Swansea.
